TRAIL MAINTENANCE
Trail Maintenance - Rocky Mountain Back Country Horsemen volunteers perform trail work to help maintain trails on our public lands. We work with Forest Service, BLM, City and county parks throughout Colorado. We believe in doing part to keep trails in good condition for all users.
RIDES - We have frequent trail maintenance rides and weekends. We provide tools and training. Check out our Events page and join us!
TOOLS RMBCH has tools which any member is welcome to borrow for work rides. They can only be used for RMBCH work
REPORT Please let us know on our trail hazard report about trees down across the trails, other trail blockages, broken signage, and major erosion to RMBCH. We'll try to get it taken care of and/or report situations to the proper agency. While our emphasis is on our adopted trails, Macey, Swift Creek, North Brush, Grape Creek, Music Pass, we'll help out on any trails that need work.
SCOUTING
Love to ride those Colorado horse trails but don't want to do hard manual labor?
No problem! Choose a trail which needs to be checked out (ie Macey after the snow is melted, Grape creek in spring, new BLM trail, or a rarely used Forest Service trail)
Just ride the trail. Track your hours and report back about the trail status details. Erosion, how many trees down and where. Any obstacles or changes. Anything that the RMBCH can help with.
